Project CARS Hits The Track With Oli Webb

Just a week ago, race driver Oli Webb visited our office for an extended testing & feedback session with Project CARS

Today, Oli has traded in the virtual world for a real-life race track again and Project CARS proudly tagged along for the ride!

Oli took Sebastien Loeb Racing’s Oreca 03 prototype in Spain for a test drive earlier today and Project CARS made a prominent appearance on the Nissan-powered LMP2 car as you can see below!

Aside from moving his impressive career another step forward, the test will give Oli plenty of new insight to report back to our development team, helping Project CARS to blur the lines between real racing and gaming even further.

Players will be able to relive all the excitement of Oli’s experience as the ORECA 03 will make a prominent appearance in Project CARS and, thanks to Oli’s feedback, handle exactly like its real-life counterpart.

Born in Manchester in 1991, Oli Webb has been a successful competitor in several high-profile open-wheel racing series, including Formula Renault UK, British Formula Three and Indy Lights.

In 2013, Oli raced in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship as well as contesting one-off events such as the Spa Francorchamps 24 Hours in a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3. To find out more about Oli and his career, make sure to check out his website.

Project CARS will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam OS, PC, and Wii U starting Fall 2014.
