Project CARS Shakes Up Steering Wheel Market

According to media reports around the globe, Project CARS’ highly-successful release three weeks ago has not only infested hundreds of thousands of gamers around the globe with the racing bug, the WMD-powered racing title also causes quite a disruption on the steering wheel market.

Ever since Project CARS hit the shelves, prices for steering wheels have been skyrocketing while availability in stores is dwindling as many wheel models from major manufacturers are now in very high demand due to Project CARS owners looking to take their racing experience to the next level!

Console-compatible wheels such as Thrustmaster’s T300 RS are out of stock at most retailers in several countries with many of them receiving more than 100 pre-orders from Project CARS gamers gunning for the ultimate realism level.

Slighthly Mad Studios would like to apologize for the stress & inconvience caused at retailers, hardware vendors and sim racers by Project CARS’ ultra-realistic awesomeness – This wasn’t part of the plan, we promise!

Those of you who have been out of luck getting a new wheel so far can look forward to future competitions featuring highly-desirable real-world prices like our recently finished Bavarian Legend competition that came with awesome Thrustmaster prizes – Stay tuned for more of these soon!

In the meantime, we would like to remind everyone who’s still waiting on their wheel to arrive that Project CARS is also plenty of fun using the controller, so there’s no reason to put your very own Project CARS career on hold until that shiny new wheel arrives!

And those of you who are planning to join the queue and get a new wheel  can find the full list of compatible steering wheels on each platform here.
